دير مار يوحنّا مارون - كفرحييروي التقليد أنّ القدّيس يوحنّا مارون، بنى الدير على أنقاض بيتٍ سكنه العبّاد يوم سيم اسقفًا على البترون في العام ٦٧٦، ونقل إليه هامة مار مارون وسمّاه ريش موران أي رأس مارون، وجعله كرسيّه بعد انتخابه بطريركًا سنة ٦٨٥. أقام في الدّير، البطاركة الموارنة المتعاقبون إلى دانيال الشاماتي. آل الدّير إلى الخراب بعد أن دمّره يوسف سيفا سنة ١٦٣٤. أعاد بناؤه البطريرك يوسف أسطفان سنة ١٧٨٧ وكرّسه على إسم مار يوحنّا مارون، وجعل فيه مدرسةً لتعليم الأحداث ما لبثت أن تحوّلت لإكليريكيّة سنة ١٨١٨ بأمر البطريرك يوحنّا الحلو. الديّر اليوم كرسيّ أساقفة البترون، وهو الشاهد على تاريخ الموارنة في لبنان.The monastery of St John Maroun - KfarhayAccording to tradition, St John Maroun built the first monastery when he was the bishop of Batroun in 676 over a hermitage, and brought to it the holy relic of the forehead of St Maroun and named it Rish Moran or the head of St Maroun. He made the monastery his patriarcal seat when he was elected in 685. The succeeding patriarchs lived in the monastery until Daniel el Shamaty. The monastery was destroyed by Youssef Sayfa in 1634.Patriarch Youssef Estfen rebuilt it with a school and consecrated it to St John Maroun, the school was transformed into a seminary in 1818 by a decree of Patriarch Youhanna el Helo.The monastery is now the seat of the bishops of Batroun, and the witness to the Maronite history.

كنيسة السيّدة الجديدة - صربا الجنوب

بُنيت الكنيسة سنة ١٩٤٦ وكرّسها المطران أغوسطينوس البستاني. بناؤها بازيليكيّ الطراز بثلاث أسواقٍ وحنية نصف دائريّة. رُمّمت الكنيسة بعد زلزال سنة ١٩٥٦، وأُضيفت إليها قبّة الجرس. تضمّ الكنيسة أيقونةً أورشليميّة عجائبيّة للسيّدة العذراء وهي التي حمت الأهالي خلال الحرب العالميّة الأولى.

The new Church of Our Lady - Sarba, South Lebanon.

The church was constructed in 1946 and consecrated by Archbishop Augustine el-Boustany. This basilical church features three naves and a semi-circular apse. Following the earthquake of 1956, the structure underwent restoration, and a bell tower was subsequently added to the church. Notably, the church houses an icon of the Theotokos from the school of Jerusalem, which is believed to possess miraculous properties. According to the local community, this icon protected the village during World War I, serving as a source of divine intervention and safeguarding.

كابيلّا الشهيدة أكويلينا - جبيل

القدّيسة أكويلينا شهيدة من مدينة جبيل استشهدت فيها بعمر اثنتي عشر سنة، سنة ٢٩٣. دُفِنَت ذخائرها خارج مدينة جبيل، في المزار المُشيَّد على اسمها والواقع على تلّة قصّوبا شرقيّ المدينة بحسب المستشرق ارنست رينان. رسم لوحتها سمعان سمعان المصوّر المعروف بسمعان سارة أواخر سنة ١٩٥٣ بسعي الأب أنطونيوس زغيب الذي نشر إكرام القدّيسة. الكابيلّا بنيت أيّام رئاسة الأب يوحنّا وهبه على أنطوش جبيل في سوق جبيل القديم، سنة ١٩٨٢. وهو مزارها في قلب المدينة ومحجًّا لطلب شفاعتها.

The Chapel of St Aquilina - Byblos

St Aquilina is a twelve year old martyr from Byblos who died in 293. Her relics were buried in a small shrine on the hill of Qassouba in the vicinity of the city according to the orientalist Ernest Renan. The painting is the work of Semaan Semaan also known as Semaan Sara dating back to 1953, commissioned by Fr Antonios Zgheib who promulgated the devotion to the saint. The chapel was built when Fr Youhanna Wehbe was the rector of Byblos’s presbytery in 1982. The chapel is a pilgrimage site to all those seeking the martyr’s intercession.

أواسط القرن التاسع عشر حمت السيّدة شخصًا من آل ياغي من الغرق فنذر بناء كنيسةٍ لها في اليمونة. الكنيسة صغيرة بعقدٍ مصالبٍ. تشتهر هذه الكنيسة بكونها مقامًا عجائبيّّا يقصده المسيحيّون والشيعة للتبرّك.

The church of our Lady of Yammouneh - Yammouneh

In the mid XIXth century a man from the Yaghy clan was saved from drowning with the miraculous intercession of Our Lady. He dedicated himself to build a church in Yammouneh as an act of thanksgiving. The church is small with a crossed vault. The shrine is considered holy for both christians and Shias, and it is an important pilgrimage site for both religions.
